Wax Inclusion Projects
This body of work started in the early 1990s, when I began experimenting with melting wax by placing electrical heaters in large fish tanks. The practice of inclusions in wax developed as my interest in vulnerable (and intimate) materials such as newspaper clippings, clothing, bedding and curtains began to merge with my other interests in the concepts of memories, conservation and archiving.
These waxworks are one of my ongoing artistic modalities.
